Staff panic-button system

Wireless emergency buttons for staff in public, social and commercial organisations – with direct alarm transmission to our control centre and an individually agreed action plan.

  • discreet alarm
  • wireless emergency buttons
  • control-centre monitoring
  • individual action plan

When a phone call is not possible.

In a conflict or threat situation there is often no time to find a number, make a call or explain the situation to a control centre. With a staff emergency system, employees can trigger a predefined alarm in a few movements.

Especially useful at workplaces with

  • public-facing contact
  • conflict discussions
  • difficult counselling situations
  • increased aggression risk
  • working alone within a facility
  • exposed reception or cash desks

One press. A defined sequence.

  1. 01

    Trigger the alarm

The employee presses their personal or fixed emergency button.

  2. 02

    Transmit the alarm

The event is sent via the system hub to the connected control centre.

  3. 03

    Control centre

Our alarm receiving centre identifies the event and the site concerned.

  4. 04

    Action plan

The alarm and action plan previously agreed with the customer is started.

  5. 05

    Response

Depending on the agreement and the situation, contacts can be informed, security or intervention staff alerted, and further defined measures started – including police or other authorities where the situation and plan require it.

Fixed at the workstation or carried by staff.

Fixed

Help within reach.

Emergency buttons can be mounted in fixed positions – under a desk, at reception, in a counselling room, at a counter or in a staff room. We use an Ajax Button or DoubleButton with a matching Holder. The button can still be removed if needed.

In an emergency, staff know exactly where the trigger is – out of sight of the person opposite.

Mobile

Security that travels with staff.

Staff can also carry a wireless emergency button – on a keyring, between rooms, residential groups, common areas or counselling rooms.

The manufacturer states a radio range of up to 2,000 m in open space. Indoors, coverage depends on walls, floors and the site plan.

Few components. A clear purpose.

We use Ajax Systems. Customers are buying a security chain – trigger, transmission, control centre and action plan – not radio hardware.

Button

Compact wireless emergency button. It can be fixed with a Holder or carried as a key fob.

Ajax DoubleButton: both buttons must be pressed together

DoubleButton

Press deliberately. Reduce accidental triggers. The alarm is sent only when both buttons are pressed at the same time.

Ajax emergency button mounted discreetly at a counter

Fixed holder

Keeps the emergency button permanently within reach – under a desk, at a counter or on a wall. The button can be removed again if needed.

Ajax system hub mounted on a concrete pillar

System hub

Receives events from the emergency buttons and transmits them to the control centre. Manufacturer radio range up to 2,000 m in open space.

Expandable as needs grow.

The staff emergency system is the starting point. The same Ajax system can be extended with further detectors and functions where the site requires it.

Fire call points

Manual fire alarm in the same system – with its own alarm type and action plan.

Medical home emergency

An additional emergency trigger for medical situations, if the site needs it.

Video

Cameras and visual verification on the same hub – to assess the situation.

Siren

Optional local sounding, if an audible signal fits the site.

Many more integrations

Intrusion detectors, automation and existing equipment – depending on the organisation and need.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers on staff emergency systems, silent alarms and control-centre monitoring.

A staff emergency system lets employees trigger a defined alarm quickly in a dangerous situation. In our solution that alarm is transmitted via the security system to the connected control centre and handled according to the stored action plan.
Not necessarily. In threat or hold-up situations a silent alarm can be appropriate. Whether additional local sounders are used is decided per site.
Yes. In addition to fixed buttons, mobile wireless buttons can be used depending on the plan.
Yes. Depending on the site, several workplaces and areas can be integrated into one system. The manufacturer states a radio range of up to 2,000 m in open space; indoors we plan coverage on site.
The event is transmitted to the connected control centre. The action plan agreed with the customer is then carried out.
The system is particularly suited to organisations where staff may face conflict or potentially escalating situations. Planning is always based on the specific site and its routines.
